Doug Marks is a veteran attorney based in Sandpoint, Idaho. Over decades in practice he has advised software developers, tech start‑ups, mid-sized tech companies, manufacturers and retailers across the United States. He frequently serves as outside general counsel for growing businesses and helps clients focus on reasonable positions so agreements can be signed quickly.

Doug’s broad experience spans commercial leasing, software development and marketing, corporate bankruptcy, manufacturing, civil litigation, and data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA. This breadth allows him to identify which contract provisions are negotiable and which must remain to protect clients, saving time and legal fees. He is also involved in estate planning, bringing a holistic perspective to business transactions.

He guides our legal efforts in drafting agreements that are easy to understand and consistent across industries.
